【摘要】:Thisfire-test-responsetestmethodcoversdeterminationoftheignitabilityandheatreleaserateofcompositesconsistingofawallcovering,asubstrate,andalllaminatingadhesives,coatings,andfinishes.Heatreleaseinformationcannotbeusedalonetoevaluatetheflammabilityofwallcoverings.Thedataareintendedtobeusedformodelingorwithotherdatatoevaluateamaterial.Thistestmethodprovidesformeasurementofthetimetosustainedflaming,heatreleaserate,peakandtotalheatrelease,andeffectiveheatofcombustionataconstantradiantheatfluxof35kW/m.Heatreleasedataatdifferentheatingfluxesarealsoobtainedbythistestmethod.Thespecimenisorientedhorizontally,andasparkignitionsourceisused.Thefire-test-responsecharacteristicsaredeterminedusingtheapparatusandproceduresdescribedinTestMethodE1354.Thetestsareconductedonbench-scalespecimenscombiningthecomponentsusedintheactualinstallation.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.SeeIEEE/ASTMSI-10.Firetestingofproductsandmaterialsisinherentlyhazardous,andadequatesafeguardsforpersonnelandpropertyshallbeusedinconductingthesetests.Thistestmethodpotentiallyinvolveshazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.Thisstandardisusedtomeasureanddescribetheresponseofmaterials,products,orassembliestoheatandflameundercontrolledconditions,butdoesnotbyitselfincorporateallfactorsrequiredforfirehazardorfireriskassessmentofthematerials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.Firetestingofproductsandmaterialsisinherentlyhazardous,andadequatesafeguardsforpersonnelandpropertyshallbeemployedinconductingthesetests.Thistestmethodmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.SpecificinformationabouthazardisgiveninSection6.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
