【摘要】:ThevaluesofIDTstrengthmaybeusedtoevaluatetherelativequalityofbituminousmixturesinconjunctionwithlaboratorymixdesigntestingandforestimatingthepotentialforruttingorcracking.Theresultscanalsobeusedtodeterminethepotentialforfieldpavementmoisturedamagewhenresultsareobtainedonbothmoisture-conditionedandunconditionedspecimens.1.1Thistestmethodcoversproceduresforpreparingandtestinglaboratory-fabricatedorfield-recoveredcoresofbituminousmixturestodeterminetheIndirectTensile(IDT)Strength.1.2Thewithin-laboratoryrepeatabilitystandarddeviation,fortherecommendedrateofloading(50mm/min)andtesttemperature(25176;C),hasbeendeterminedtobe80kPa(12psi)for100mm(4in.)diameterspecimens,basedon28labsusingeither2or4testreplicateswith11differentmixsamples.AdditionaldataisprovidedinTable1fortheusersinformation.Thebetween-laboratoryreproducibilityofthistestmethodisbeingdeterminedandwillbeavailableonorbeforeAugust2011.Therefore,thistestmethodshouldnotbeusedforacceptanceorrejectionofmaterialsforpurchasingpurposes.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
