【摘要】:ThetestmethodscontainedinthisdocumentareintendedforcellulosicfiberinsulatingboardasdescribedinSpecificationC208.Thesetestmethodsexaminemechanical,physicalandthermalproperties,propertiesrelatedtowaterabsorptionandwatervaporexposure,andflammabilityrelatedproperties.Theresultsofthesetestsmaybeusedtodescribetheperformanceofinsulatingboardandaresuitableforuseinmaterialspecifications.Note18212;CommitteeC-16isintheprocessofsplittingthisdocumentintodiscretetestmethodscategorizedbythenatureofthetestmethods.1.1ThesetestmethodscoverthoseinsulationproductsinspecifiedSpecificationC208thatarenotsingularlyspecifiedelsewhereasinsulatingformboard(seeSpecificationC532)andnail-basesheathing(seeSpecificationD2277).Therequirementsfortheproducts''physicalpropertiesarespecifiedinSpecificationC208.Themethodsforthegeneralinsulationproducts''physicalpropertiesaregivenasfollows:1.2Referenceisprovidedtoanestablishedsourcefornomenclatureanddefinitions.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.3Severalofthetestmethodscontainedinthisdocumentarereferencedbymaterialspecificationsotherthancellulosicfiberinsulatingboard.Theseincludemineralfiber,perlite,polyisocyanurate,polystyreneandphenolicmaterials.
